Set within the bustling heart of Coburg along Sydney Road, this cafe offers a relaxed spot for a range of simple, thoughtful meals and quality coffee. The aroma of freshly brewed double espresso and piccolo coffee greets visitors, creating a warm atmosphere that suits both quick solo stops and laid-back lunches. The menu leans into comforting options like toasted ham and cheese sandwiches, sausage rolls, and occasional homemade soups, paired with fresh bread and light desserts to round out the meal.
The space draws a mix of locals who appreciate the casual vibe and attentive service. It's a place where you might find yourself borrowing an umbrella on a rainy day or settling in with a small plate and a coffee while watching the neighborhood go by. Families with children are welcome, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible, making it a convenient spot for many.
While the deli section buzzes with those picking up a range of Italian-style meats and cheeses, many come here for the cafe experience—freshly made food, a rotating selection of salads and toasties, and a handful of cakes to enjoy alongside a well-poured coffee. The friendly, familiar feel creates a little community hub where you can expect a calm, genuine local experience rather than a rushed takeaway.

"Always great service, the choice of food is great and the coffee is amazing"
"Quality produce with friendly staff."
"I love the food & deli selection, decor vibe & customer service."
5 They offer really good food & coffee. Haven't bought any deli from here but could see many customers buying deli from this place. Had lunch couple of times and bought some bread. lunch was fantastic, bread was fresh and delicious. Defn coming back!
5 Fantastic cafe. I can't comment on their deli produce, although that seems incredibly well-stocked and popular, but I can comment on the cafe. The food is made fresh and there is always something new to try. I am particularly fond of their toasties, pumpkin bread rolls and meatballs. In winter, they put on a range of homemade soups with crusty bread. Lots of lovely salads. The ladies are adorable and make the food with love. The coffee is superb. Looking forward to having a sit-down meal once again, when COVID-19 is over. For now, takeaway will have to do.
4 Laid back locals cafe and deli.Good coffee and small selection of cakes etc. Friendly staff . Having to use their one only customer toilet was a bit strange having to take a key attached to a chain attached to a one pint metal jug to unlock the door at rear of store and use same key to lock door once in .Very fiddly if your in a hurry. But I suppose they did at least have a toilet
5 The coffee and food is wonderful and staff are nice. Pricey but worth the price. Also has a good sense of community, you can even borrow umbrellas from the cafe in wet weather events. Perfect for a Queenslander who has moved to Melbourne and is learning the weather can be chaotic. Will continue to support this business through my time in Melbourne.
4 A little taste of Italy in the middle of Coburg. Great deli smells as soon as you walk in, large range of meats, cheeses, etc. They ran out of roast veg panini, but managed to make a fresh one when asked. Great service....
The Double Espresso, Piccolo, and toasted ham sandwiches are popular choices, along with fresh bread and a good selection of deli meats and cheeses.
